Here's a relatively inexpensive, great tool for converting VST to RTAS. Especially if you want to take advantage of the over 1,000 FREE VSTs out there, rather than spend thousands of dollars on plug-ins for ProTools.
Click here for details: FXPANSION VST to RTAS Adaptor 2
The adapter supports all the latest VST2 features, such as sample-accurate timing, parameter automation, automatic tempo synchronization, easy preset browsing, and patch/preset interchange with other VST hosts such as Steinberg's Cubase VST, Cubase SX and Nuendo series.
Copy protection: serial number only. No challenge-response, no iLok, no BS.
System requirements: 800MHz CPU, 256M RAM, Windows XP or Mac OS X 10.4.x "Tiger".

![]() TEXASFEEL | June 30, 2006 10:58:48 PM I've often wondered how the converters work. I have found lots of AU plug-ins that are free but there are so many more VST freebies around. There is also a version called FXpansion's VST-to-AU Adapter that I would like to try. It is suppose to support Logic and LE, I don't know about GB. KVR is a great place to start if your curious about software instruments and effects plug-ins. They post the latest and greatest and keep you posted on updates. |

ProTools will ReWire with REASON, LIVE, Melodyne, and most other compatible ReWire bridges. PT v7's MIDI interface has a "Pencil Tool", for editing, similar to GarageBand's Track Editor. | |
