SHOW US YOUR STUDIO!

So... I've always been curious what kind of homemade studios people are making their beautiful MacJams music in. I wonder if Tobin's occupies more than 1 floor of his house, if Gudkharma's has crumbled paper all over the floor, etc. To this end, I have uploaded a picture of my humble musical environment....

I encourage others to do the same. LET ME SEE YOUR MUSICAL SURROUNDINGS...

i couldn't resist taking a photo of it even after i'd put the camera and lacie connector away. it just looks so damn sexy. so many others' photos have guitars sittin in there and i don't have a stand so... anyways. there it is. mmm. and my samick acoustic is in the black case at left.

Fosod and dchapman are, so far, the only ones who are going to pass the white glove test.

Small and humble. This is the only corner of my house that hasn't been overtaken by toys. ya, and I need a desk, I know.

No white gloves allowed in this room.

2 basses (1 fretless) and a custom "refurbished" guitar, a trumpet, Radium 61 keyboard, Behringer UB1202, Roland XV-5050 for Performer, and an old Korg 05R/W sandwiched between the externals on the CPU. HP-1700 large format printer above the right monitor.

Don't you neat bodies love the cable mess?

I thought the use of the desk drawer as an extension of the desktop to put my Roland XV-5050 and behringer mixer on was pretty clever.

I also do all my design and illustration on this Mac, as well as run a mail and web server 24/7. There's a homebuilt PC just out of frame to the right I use for building levels for games and playing Doom 3 :)

next time my mom squaks at me about my messy room i'm showing her YOU GUYS'S STUDIOS

and neither of us can stand cables everywhere.
when i get set to record stuff i got my guitar cable, footswitch cable, 25' mic cable, and headphone cable out at the same time and that gets a little, hmm.. dangerous!

Always sensitive to modern design, I've gone with the desk made of two file cabinets and an interior door.

Not brilliant but definitely cheap. I even scrounged the door! By the way, I thought it was particularly innovative the way you've got your keyboard in front of a door!
