Sometimes when the site is being a bit slow it's easy to double-posts comments. Can they be deleted?

I was told to just drop a not to the admins, but, *cough* *cough* the one time I tried this, it didn't happen. I once saw a comment page than had like 9.

I've triple commented before. On my machine if you hit the post button and nothing happens, you have to just wait. If you hit it again, you get the double posts. I can imagine some frustrated guy hitting it over and over again, until it finally posts with 9.

I asked the same question earlier this weekend. No answer, yet here.

But if he is a newbie collecting points, he may be just relieved ;)

This could easily be solved by disabling the button upon clicking it. Also, when leaving a comment for a song, you get 2 choices - to reload the page, or to simply close the comment box.
For me, reloading the page is better because the original box where I typed my comments is blank again. If I just choose to close that little window, my comments remain in the comment box and, on occasion, I have forgotten whether I actually submitted the message....
So, if someone chooses the option to just close the little comment confirmation window, but not reload the page, it should ALSO blank out the comment box.
