I haven't actually bought the thing yet, but I have read the manual! One of the most important capabilities (for me) that was demo'd (by The Crystal Method) on M-Audio's website was its ability to repeat (latch) notes like the MPC does, with pressure->velocity. But I can't seem to find any reference for how to implement this on the unit itself. Any users out there care to comment? Perhaps the 'latching' is done from the sequencer-side and not the hardware itself?

![]() cjorgensen | January 30, 2006 8:58:36 PM I think I barely know what you are talking about. Care to add some links to the product? I want to add some kind of drum set to my set up, but I am a hack. I want something I can hit with sticks or play like bongos. The idea of tapping out my beats on a 3 by 3 grid doesn't seem right. Sorry you're not getting an answer, but maybe you could write the company? Sales should let you know pretty quick! |
January 30, 2006 9:38:54 PM I agree, he is a hack. On a different note, I own the trigger finger and use it a lot. It's versitle but only as good as you are willing to put into it. It's not for the beginner as the video makes it look. You have to keep up on presets, and the software is a little confusing. All in all though, cool for the price. Cheers. | |
