First and foremost, it is a controller. It doesn't make any sounds. Basically it isn't a synth. Secondly, do you have the latest USB drivers for the Trigger Finger? If not, start there then post back with your progress, if any.

Yes .... MORE INFORMATION when you say NO SOUND would be helpful .... for starters ... with a PC .. you need to install the Mobile Pre DRIVER - if it didn't come with your product you can download it. 2nd ... you need to ensure that all your wires and cords are plugged into the correct places ..... USB plug from mobile pre into USB port on your computer. Little green colourer pin/plug out from mobile pre back where it says Stereo Line ... into (sub woofer if you have one) .... green jack slot on back of computer if there is no sub. You need to configure your PC to make the M-Audio your DEFAULT (sound card driver) ... a lot of times your PC needs to be told not to use the build in sound card but to use this instead. Inside your software you ALSO need to Select the M-Audio Mobile Pre as your SOURCE In and Out .... make sure your speakers are ON ... and that there are NO MUTE boxes checked anywhere in any software. I think I would need more info before I was able to comment further.

OOPS I may have referred to the wrong M-Audio product in my explanation ... but the premise should be the same no matter which interface you are using with a PC ....

well the product came with enigma and i also have reason m-audio adapted i can get the controller to work fine with the knobs and sliders its the pads that dont get any response, ive managed to hook the midi out to a drum machine
and through the drum machine it has stored sounds programd to the pads that produce sound but my real question is how to assign samples to the pads through reasons redrum(honestly) i dont know what it is i want i quess to be able to use the pads since i cant get them to do anything

is this a little more helpful?
i have connections right cause i can obviously assign the sliders and knobs in reason
but the pads dont get any response

Not all keys will be played in every octave on every MIDI drum kit. Switch the instrument to Subtraktor and see if the pads emit sound. If so then that is your problem - your in the wrong octave on Redrum. If this isn't the problem, you need to "assign" MIDI to each pad using Reason's learn function.
