Well, more troubles. If you don't need protools.....
Look, get this, on Dec 20, digidesign came up with a standalone for the core audio driver. Sooooo, I deleted pro tools 6.9.2 and just downloaded the standalone 7.0 core audio driver.

Good Luck!

Thanks! I'll check that out. It may or may not be a solution to my woes with QuickTime 7 and Panther -- I have Digidesign CoreAudio 6.9.1 installed, which is the highest version I've known to be available for Mac OS 10.3.9. I am not yet interested in moving to Tiger. I really don't use Pro Tools LE with my Mbox, so maybe you have a good solution to the bug that is bugging me.

Maybe so. But it's worth noting that ProTools 7 doesn't support Panther. So it's a fair bet neither does the 7v of Standalone Coere Audio Driver.

It really is about time you shift up to Tiger.

But there is a CS release of the StandAlone Driver

CS 6.9.2

Give that a go!

Richard, Core Audio 7 is for Tiger, 6.9 is for Panther. So stick with what you have. If you don't used ProTools, uninstalled it and install the stand alone version of Core Audio 6.9 Also M-Box cannot run through a hub, it must have its own USB port. I found that with GB I have to start Core Audio before GB and set the buffer to 512 otherwise if GB starts it, it sets the buffer to 1024 and you get distortion. Hope this helps,

The problem is with the QT 7 web plug-in. The QT Player module does not always load. Hit refresh 2-5 times to load it. It is a problem admitted by Digidesign. I described the problem months ago in another thread and am weary of typing. I think Digidesign did a bad thing by ignoring Panther users who upgraded to QT 7. With the 6.9.1 CoreAudio driver, both GB and LE7 work fine.

Try the CS 6.9.2 upgrade

Or get your hands on Tiger
