I would like an open discussion on the dangers of importing products to be included in the discussion of importing oil. We are as addicted to foreign labor as we are to foreign oil. Maybe instead of Drill Here Drill Now we should be screaming BRING OUR JOBS HOME NOW...NO MORE RELIANCE ON FOREIGN LABOR! Certainly reliance on Chinese labor and products is as dangerous to the US economy as reliance on Arab oil...remember China is a communist totalitarian government that is sponsoring terrorism in Sudan.

It could just as easily be argued that the Chinese are helping beleagured people of the Christian/animist South protect themselves against the ethnic cleansing types who control the North.

Huh? The point I was bringing up is that the reliance of the U.S. economy on foreign labor is just as dangerous as our reliance on foreign oil. Not sure about animist/north/south etc. If you are referring to the conflict in the Sudan it is that is not a Christian conflict at all.

From the BBC's country profile;
"Sudan is the largest and one of the most diverse countries in Africa, home to deserts, mountain ranges, swamps and rain forests.

It emerged from a two-decade civil war between the mainly Muslim north and the Animist and Christian south, only to see fighting break out in the western region of Darfur in early 2003. "

There are two basic conflicts going on in the Sudan; Darfur is a Muslim Arab/black confrontation, whilst the North-South one is about oil and the imposition of Sharia law on people who have no allegiance to Islam.

There ought to be a different song -- "Drill, Baby, Drill" -- that would start something like,

"Well I met a woman from a Northern state
It was in a bar, the hour grew late
She said, 'If you want to rock with me
You've got to find more energy
Onshore, offshore, wherever you will
You've gotta Drill Baby Drill Baby Drill"

The second verse would be similar, and the chorus would move the action along and then the third verse would take it to the personal:

"Well pretty soon the clock said three
And I took that woman home with me
And up until the break of dawn
We rocked and rolled 'til night was gone
And I can hear her shouting still
"Drill baby drill baby drill baby drill."

Or something to that effect...

A hit!!!
