Since Ziti did a Randy Newman cover I thought it appropriate that we hear a few words from the master himself. Leave it to Randy to keep it all in perspective. Curious as to what my European cousins think about the ole USA. Do most people resent if not down right hate us? Do most people know enough to make a distincition between the government and the people? Yeah we elect them alright, at least if you believe the voting machines aren't rigged, but they all seem to talk the good talk don't they? Just don't seem to be able to walk the walk do they?

![]() thetiler | September 15, 2008 1:49:40 AM Thanks Bronco for posting, it is amazing how Randy can get so much music out and do it talking. Amazing! I guess I am not one to judge, but we have lost a lot of respect in the world and our economy is sure down. Yes, there are so a lot of really insane leaders in the history of the world. All I can say is Obama better be able to pull some good tricks out of his hat cause the republicans are gaining incredible ground because of Sarah. I guess many a women are really smitten by Sarah sort of speak. Is it too late to get Biden to step down and call in the Calvary (Clinton)? Could Obama deal with her husband prying into his political affairs? After all, he is an expert at that :^) Ok, ok there is no turning back the hand of time. But maybe Obama could give Biden a bonus to walk away from selection of him as a running mate. Saying we just don't stand a chance he could apologies and say I made a mistake. I mean look, if you saw the video of Hillary going to kiss Bill and turned away from him when he tried to kiss her and kissed Obama instead. Maybe there is still hope left? :) Please don't take me seriously, I can't see this possibly happening. Just fantasizing out loud ! :) |

![]() zallaz01 | September 15, 2008 4:01:12 AM There's been a lot of talk about 'Ghandi Newman' Randy's distant cousin from India. As well as all the other 'Newman's'' Dandy - The sharply dressed Handy - The odd job man Tandy - who used to work for Radio Shack in the UK Van De Newman - From Holland Candy - with a love for Hershey bars Bandy - The double-jointed Mandy - the typical 'Essex Girl' Sandy - from the Sahara Possibly the first picture of Ghandi Newman too... http://s323.photobucket.com/albums/nn472/zallaz01/?action=view¤t=ghandi_newman.jpg |
![]() jiguma | September 15, 2008 5:09:55 AM Political Science - Randy Newman: "No one likes us-I don't know why We may not be perfect, but heaven knows we try But all around, even our old friends put us down Let's drop the big one and see what happens We give them money-but are they grateful? No, they're spiteful and they're hateful They don't respect us-so let's surprise them We'll drop the big one and pulverize them Asia's crowded and Europe's too old Africa is far too hot And Canada's too cold And South America stole our name Let's drop the big one There'll be no one left to blame us We'll save Australia Don't wanna hurt no kangaroo We'll build an All American amusement park there They got surfin', too Boom goes London and boom Paree More room for you and more room for me And every city the whole world round Will just be another American town Oh, how peaceful it will be We'll set everybody free You'll wear a Japanese kimono And there'll be Italian shoes for me They all hate us anyhow So let's drop the big one now Let's drop the big one now" A blast from the past. I would hope the world realizes the American people and "it's" so called government are a loggerheads .... We all suffer from idiot governments Jack -we're just emerging from 12 years of one - its just that yours has more of an impact on the rest of the world than any other. From over here, Palin epitomises what many people really fear about the US - from what I've been reading, she seems a narrow minded, self serving bully willing to do whatever she wants in the name of her particular version of god. I'll be keeping my fingers crossed that all the sensible American people have enough strength and commitment to get out and vote and give the world some sort of a chance. No matter who you vote for though, a politician always gets in :) Best wishes from Oz, Neil B) |
