I think we must thank Simon for all the time he spend to this community.
Not complain too much MORE help him out and give him proposition and not be so harsh.
Okay that's me thinking, what do you guys think about that?

Cheers

There are some improvements. Also plenty of inconsistencies. I wonder if it's the best idea to experiment with a live site.

Victor.

I agree with Kenta - cut Simon some slack and let change happen. It's a free site that serves so many so well. He has a right to f*ck with it if he wants and in the end it's about the music and community. I haven't been around much lately - but I know MJ is always here. That means a lot to me.

It's interesting watching things take shape...kind of like different iterations of a song, actually...

I like the new MacJams, but when I reply to a comment I still get:

Sorry, the page you requested seems to be missing.

Go figure.

You are the best, Simon!
Keep trucking. We should pay more attention to the man behind the curtain. He gives this place courage, a heart and a brain.
Yay! Simon! :)

Yes! It is very nice to see Simon spending some time here again. I for one am extremely grateful for him and this site. Thanks, Simon. Don't let the ney-sayers get ya down!

Love it! Looking forward to more!

I've often visualized MacJams as a funky old hotel where not everything works quite right, the guests wander in and out at will and nobody seems quite sure where the desk clerk is. But the music is riotious, the debates never boring and if the maintanance schedule is a bit casual, well..... that's Hotel MacJams.

But now there's contractor trucks parked all over the place, work crews are rigging mysterious new stuff everywhere and it's exciting as hell to watch it all haoppen.

Simon, as a model railroader (sigh, there goes Rik with the model railroader stuff again) I've gotten quite used to nitpickers and complainers snarking about this not being right and that not being correct and this handrail being 1/4 inch scale too far to the right and that shade of VIA blue being .0006 too light in tone. And don't even get me started on the arguments about what color 'boxcar red' actually is - that one leads to full-on brawls. Point is, I shrug them off now and concentrate on my vision of what I'm trying to do in the first place - learn from the constructive feedback and forget the pointless bellyaching.

You've done an incredible job with this hotel. My own evolution as a musician owes everything to this place and the wonderful talents and personalities that have made a home here. Do whatever you need to do, tweak, experiment, adjust, pull, push, solder, paint..... there's a lot of people who've made this their home, and I'm one of them. (Except when I accidentally deleted the account, but that doesn't count.)

Thanks for your time and effort. We wouldn't be here if it wasn't for your idea and sweat, and I will buy you a cold one at some point in the future.

I've been seeing changes progress on this site as I've been logged on tonight. It is really coming together nicely in my opinion.

Thanks Simon! You're the man

Starting to look much more stylish now and great to see the links at the sides reappearing - I am sure it's going to end up a much better and more accessible site.
Thanks Simon.

PS: Great idea to have a player on each song in the main music list. Really useful.
