Okay, I've had a few song suggestions and a few people have already said that they are interested in possibly contributing a new song or new version of an old song/carol. To those people who have already suggested something, thanks and I will get back to you – I haven't listened yet but will do soon. To those who are thinking of doing a song for the challenge, I'll send you an email address. To anyone else, this is just a reminder – you have a couple of months if you'd like to do a Christmas or Winter themed song for my show. I look forward to hearing what you come up with! :)

Just wanted to remind everyone about this Christmas challenge. I'll be reminding people occasionally from now until the deadline, which is November 10th (so only just over a month away). I've already had a few contributions and a few people who've said they would like to do a new version of a Christmas classic or a brand new song with a festive or winter theme. If you're interested in getting involved then don't forget to drop me a note and I'll pass on an email address where you can send your mp3.

EG- I posted this song three years ago. Giving the current state of the economy and such it may have a little more relevance at this time. It's not exactly what I would call a "happy" song, however.

Thanks, Bill and Adam. I'll check those out. It might take me a while to get around to listening to all of those 'A Bell in the Valley' versions but it should certainly be interesting.

Just to remind you, the deadline for this challenge is about a month away. Thanks to those who have submitted or suggested something so far.

Some of these versions are just brilliant, which is largely a testament to the original 'A Bell In The Valley' as well as the creativity of various MacJammers. I will certainly be using some of these for the Christmas podcast, though it's just a question of narrowing it down to three or four of versions!
