all of my scores have droped about a point... all of the ratings picks have fallen.. and It doesn't appear that there are any new votes on my material, so I don't think it's a bomber... just lower scores.... a little more reasonable scores I might ad...

I think admin has updated the software to remove the 10-bombs.

It certainly seems that way - maybe they'll confirm it one day...

No, there are still plenty of 10's.

Of interest to me is that, besides the lowering of scores, the number of votes on my latest song went from 17 to 5. Twelve votes removed, not all of them 10's...

This seems truly odd, donut?

Votes number changed too .
Has "song rating" changed to "song review" ?

It looks like there's maybe some code removing some 10s from votes been installed. Just a guess.

In fact nearly all of my 10s have been removed - no logic to it though, as some songs have dropped significantly more than others (maybe they had more 10s). Interestingly, if you look at the "Music" list and click on "Rating" you'll see that many people haven't had their 10s removed.

Certainly most of my song list looks more like I imagine it should now. "Wonderland" seems an anomaly at 7.85 though - but maybe not.

Definitely a little odd - II think that if it was Miguel or Simon responsible that they'd ask advice on this, or at least tell us. Maybe it's someone doing some hacking?

Yeah, I think more than half of the votes on my latest at least were removed. Not sure what the method is here. Unlike the low bomb removals the 10 "bomb" removals seem to remove the statistically "normal" votes.

I guess this like printing more money to bring down inflation. Odd. Likely, as usual, well never get an explanation. Not sure if it helped things or not. Better than adding 11 to the rankings, I suppose.

I feel some responsibility for things changing so rapidly - I'd just like to say that I was never suggesting that there should be any retrospective adjustment to ratings/reviews/scores in any way. Nor was I suggesting any code changes.

If this change has come about from Admin (which I doubt), then I'm disappointed that it wasn't discussed in the community first. If it's a hacker, then that's a different (and more disconcerting) story.

It need not be a scary "hacker".

We all know how to create new identities, and with only a couple of comments posted anywhere, they become able to vote. Create a few of them. Then simply run down the Music list and "6-bomb" away with each one. Mission accomplished.

No, it's much more than that - new identities don't change the wording in the ratings box or remove ratings from songs from up to two years ago.

And Kenta - I see what you mean - that makes no sense at all.

wow - this is really weird! I'll be interested to find out what's actually going on. Doesn't really make sense that admin would suddenly jump in and do a stealth fix that doesn't quite make sense to anybody. Somebody is doing something - that much is clear!

So glad to see that under this system magnatone (Karen) is in the relative position she deserves. I find this system, though the overall scores are lower to be more of a "fair system". In the end nothing is.
I consider this a change for the better.
