One of the absolute greatest to ever touch a guitar.He was just incredibly naturally gifted- his improvisations are completely logical with that amazing tone and feel.He didn't read or know much about scales,etc.Thanks for posting!

I'd never actually seen Wes Montgomery before. That was a nice set, and nicely recorded and videotaped into the bargain. That band was also really neat...

His solos always made such sense as he built them up, one chorus after the other. Often he'd play the first solo chorus with single lines then the next chorus with octaves then the next one with block chords, heightening the excitement all along.
Also, I love how relaxed he was when he played and how happy he seemed to be playing.
