...and if you'd like to drop in on Cobargo for the day, it's only about 35,000 miles South-ish- no traffic here! Jiguma only lives about an hour's drive away & Myshkin, about 6 hours....
;)
Cheers,

![]() Simon | July 09, 2008 7:08:27 PM Okay... lets say London on the 16th. Cheltenham on the 15th. I arrive late on the 14th and leave early on the 17th. |
![]() Cadman | July 10, 2008 5:04:08 AM Well I'm up for it too....... My local: http://www.theflaskhampstead.co.uk/index.htm does a open mic night on Wednesday's which might be quite interesting to listen to - but there are many other good boozers (including the quite lovely Holly Bush) within 5 mins walking distance of there - food too (Chilli Beef Rayman anyone?) Of course, this is very convenient for me - perhaps less so for everyone else :-) I checked my two favourite venues (12 Bar Club and the Green Note) - nothing that interesting on, on the 16th. |

![]() lengold | July 11, 2008 11:37:15 AM Where will you be staying in London Simon? We need to sort a venue - I'm OK with Hampstead as suggested above, but others may need to be near a main line station. DWL (Dick), myself and a few others met previously in a pub near London Bridge that was quite nice and convenient. Also macjammer Becca Johnson works there, but I don't know if she is working on the 16th. |
![]() stevel | July 11, 2008 1:40:50 PM London Bridge...good place to drink. The Wheatsheaf is a nice old fashioned pub round there and there are some good curry venues (like Silka the one on Borough High St). I wish I could make this meeting but I am still in bloody China on 16th Would be up for any future London Bridge meets though.... S |
![]() Simon | July 13, 2008 6:39:02 AM I have not made accommodations yet, but I will be arriving late on Monday night and will go to Cheltenham on Tuesday morning. I will be back on Wednesday to visit with the Londoners and then fly home on Thursday morning. I have Slimmie and Caroline's number, so I will call them when I arrive. If others would like me to be in touch, send me a note with your phone number. See you all soon! |
![]() bonnieprincejohnny | July 13, 2008 1:53:23 PM Hi Simon, fantastic news to hear that your here in Great Britain. If you can spare the time I'll be at 'Hey what the fuck jus' happened' it's London's premier crack house and is located 68 feet beneath Carnaby Street. Wow... I can't wait. |
![]() Simon | July 16, 2008 8:19:29 AM Lengold has suggested 6:30pm (tonight 16 July) at George Inn, Borough High Street, Borough, London, SE11NH. If plans change, I will message those whos number I have. Cheers! |
![]() Cadman | July 16, 2008 9:15:56 AM Bugger - something work related has come up, so I'm a no-show this evening. Sorry to have missed you Simon - hope you all have a pleasant time (epic Tapas at Tapas Brindisi, 18-20 Southwark Street, (020) 7357 8880 near there - if you fancy a change from curry :-) ) |
![]() Simon | July 17, 2008 6:00:14 PM Thanks all for a fun evening last night. I was a little late, but stuck around until closing time. Back in the US now, but will visit the EU again soon. West Coast, keep your eyes peeled, I'm heading west in August. Cheers! |

And SmokeyVW (above) is actually spot on. Simon is still VERY much interested in Macjams and silently extremely busy working in the background to improve/refine the beta site. I got the impression that it will be online and functional very, very soon. It is also remarkable what a real global family this place really is. I can't imagine many sites where you can actually get to meet the founders in person and hear their plans and thoughts. And they in turn are interested in your opinions. Cheers Len Simon Supporters Club |

Cheers Len Simon Supporters Club We had a brilliant time in Cheltenham the day before too. And yes, Len, you're absolutely right. It was very clear that Simon's vision for MJ and his commitment to making it happen are undiminished. He was very open about his motivations and very keen to hear our views on what's good and bad about the site. I found him absolutely delightful company too. Thanks Simon for taking the time to come out 'ere in the wilds to visit us! We loved it. |
