This may have been brought up before on here but I just wanted to comment...
When I go to my profile it's interesting to see that once I put up a new song, new visitors and comments more or less stop on previous songs. I want to continue to receive comments to my previous songs and wondered if there is anyway, maybe in MJ2 that will highlight previous songs, maybe randomise the song list so that the new song isn't always first?
Just an idea, because my next new song isn't always going to be the best, and personal favourite.

Thanks
Adam

There are a number of ways to deal with this, but the main tool you need is patience :-) It all depends on what you want to get out of Macjams. Friends? Collaborations? Ego-boost? Help with your music/production skills? All of these are valid goals, and suggest different techniques to achieve them. I think we are all here for all of the above, to some extent. So, Macjams has a number of tools to help you with all these things.
-Participate in the forums, ask questions, answer others' questions (gets you exposure in the community and you help people)
-Drop into chat sometimes and say hi to people. Don't ABUSE chat by interrupting conversations and just dumping a link of your song and leaving... but get to know people and let them know about you. Often people will go check your songs while you are in chat without you even asking them to.
-Listen to and leave comments on other peoples' music (you're already doing a lot of this.) This will cause others to reciprocate.

As for steering people toward certain songs that you prefer, you can change the bottom of your BIO to ask people to listen to certain songs. You can also update your SIGNATURE line to advertise a particular song, and change that once a week or two.

Just ideas.

Adam, I don't think that comments do stop when you post a new song. It was a few months ago that I went back to listen to one of my first songs and noticed that people had left comments on a few of them that I needed to answer. Since then, I do a regular check and there have been quite a few new messages. Cheers M

Hey AJ,
Just keep posting good stuff like you have been doing and let the pieces fall where they may. Also, just keep active. This site is about sharing ideas and opinions.
