aboutI started playing guitar when I was in high school. I am only self taught and had no formal lesson in music. I learn playing my guitar by jamming with friends or by playing in church during mass service. I accidentally completed my first composition while playing our first keyboard, a Yamaha psr. Since then, that was 1989; I started to compose music, not with keyboard anymore, but with my old and laminated classical guitar. But after I graduated from Uni last 1993, I stopped writing songs due to other priorities. I was working as a salesman then and had very little time to write songs. Then I got married last 1989. And the more that my priorities shifted, instead of listening to the music I like, I mostly spend my time listening to kids song with my two kids (I’m just investing quality time with kids). We migrated in Australia, I’m originally from Philippines, last 2003. And after 15 years of hiatus in composing, I only started to revisit my music writing last 2007. I discovered that in our laundry room, I could not be disturbed to play my kind of music. So while doing our laundry, I have ample of time to play my guitar and bass. Then I bought my first imac. The rest is what you hear from me now. Though I still don’t have decent audio monitor, I am hoping to improve my mix by buying one. After I finished recording all my previous compositions, I would like to focus on world/inspirational/gospel type of music. Hina-ot nga malingaw mo sa akong mga kanta. musicbackgroundMy influences are mostly the new wave bands of the late 80’s and 90’s. My first favourite rock bank is Deep Purple, my favourite alternative artist is Chris Isaak, and my favourite pop album is But Seriously by Phil Collins. Actually my music taste is cross genre from Jazz, (grp labels) new age (windhamhill labels), rock (mostly late 70’s and 80’s band), and alternative (smashing pumpkins, beggars banquet and mammoth labels). After I finished recording my previous compositions, I like to focus more on world/inspirational or gospel music
