aboutI've been hacking at the strings since my 10th birthday present in 1969, a laminated Yamaha. In the 70s I bounced tracks between stereo cassette decks to horrendous ends; used a Fostex in the 80s and GarageBand since 2004. I joined here during the iComps crash of Feb. '08 to thank MJ-ers for their well-wishes, and have found a higher proportion of guitar-oriented music here, which suits me. Find lots more A/V blogging and links at my iWeb Virtual Garage. One side of my music from 2001 to 2004 was my lead guitar role with Chicago-based Farmageddon. musicbackgroundInfluences are too broad to cover, from 60s Brit Invasion to Zep, pre-metal, prog (anyone remember Nektar?), Sly & the Family Stone, late '70's & early '80s punk.wave, to Jazz from Chet Baker to Brubeck to Thelonius. And: ALL THINGS GUITAR! Much more information than you'll ever want is at my iWeb site (above in this Profile.)

musicskillsI took about two years of lessons when I ws 10 to 12 years old. Mel Bay caused me major brain damage and I've been playing by ear ever since. My chops are vintage 60s and 70s garage. I cannot and will not ever bother to muster the energy to do a faithful cover song. Why bother?

music_softwareGB3. I couldn't figure out iDrum, or my vintage 80s Alesis HR-16 drum machine. Not too fond of loops, either. Drummers: You're welcome to contact me if you want to collab.
